Am I covered by Insurance?

While the majority of health care plans do not cover acupuncture, a surprising number do and the number is on the rise.  We do not currently bill any insurance companies directly, upon request, we will  provide patients with a super-bill/copy of the receipt which they can submit to their insurance, flexible spending account or other

Is Acupuncture subject to any government regulations?

To practice acupuncture in Colorado, one must be licensed by the State of Colorado, Department of Regulatory Agencies, Division of Registrations.  To obtain acupuncture licensure which results in the title of “Licensed Acupuncturist” (L.Ac.), the practitioner must have: completed a Master’s program in Oriental Medicine from an accredited institution, and passed the national board exams

Is Acupuncture safe for children?

Yes.  For younger children we rarely use needles, but instead, we apply little seeds or beads  on specific points.  Young children’s Qi runs closer to the skin’s surface so it is easier to re-balance their meridian systems via the seeds or acupressure.  Children in general have healthy constitutions and respond more quickly than adults.  Acupuncture

What can I expect in an acupuncture session?

During the first visit, we will go through a very detailed health questionnaire with you.  You can down load this “Health History Questionnaire” to fill out before your appointment time.  The questionnaire may take up to 20 minutes to fill out, so please arrive early and allow enough time before your actual first appointment time.
