Is Acupuncture safe for children?

Yes.  For younger children we rarely use needles, but instead, we apply little seeds or beads  on specific points.  Young children’s Qi runs closer to the skin’s surface so it is easier to re-balance their meridian systems via the seeds or acupressure.  Children in general have healthy constitutions and respond more quickly than adults.  Acupuncture

What can I expect in an acupuncture session?

During the first visit, we will go through a very detailed health questionnaire with you.  You can down load this “Health History Questionnaire” to fill out before your appointment time.  The questionnaire may take up to 20 minutes to fill out, so please arrive early and allow enough time before your actual first appointment time.

No.  The needles we use are very fine and solid needles called filiform needles.  Unlike the needles used for injection (hypodermic needles), which are thick, hollow and meant to pierce the  skin, acupuncture needles are solid and fine.
